Superintendent Pastorek Visits Ryan!
Mr. Pastorek made the trip to Ryan Elementary to highlight twenty schools with high concentrations of poverty from around the state that are either near the state average or well above it. “There is no magic trick as to what’s going on here,” the superintendent continued, “this school has made a commitment to literacy and targeting areas where students are weak and then giving them the support they need to improve. They have strong leadership in place with a great principal, Ms. Darlene Brister, and a staff that believes in what they are doing. My job is to support this kind of success and to make sure that schools like Ryan Elementary have the resources that they need going forward.”
