National Blue Ribbon School
Ryan Elementary's Administration, Faculty, Staff, Parents, and student body are very excited to have our school named a 2010 National Blue Ribbon School. This award recognizes our hard work and dedication towards closing the achievement gaps of our student population. The Blue Ribbon School distinction award is the highest honor the federal government bestows on schools throughout the country.
For a public school to be chosen for this prestigous honor, student achievement must be in the top 10 percent on state standardized tests or at least 40 percent of the school's population, from disadvantaged backgrounds, must dramatically improve on state issued standardized tests.
